Twentieth Century Fox has released four new posters and another trailer for the highly anticipated movie, GONE GIRL. Amy Dunne (Rosamund Pike) disappears on her fifth wedding anniversary to Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck), quickly causing Nick to become the prime suspect – but as readers know, there’s more to the story than just that.
I’ll be honest. I was hesitant to read Gone Girl after going on vacation with my friend last summer and hearing her sister scream through the second half of the book. Curiosity finally got the best of me (I’ve cried, but never yelled, while reading) and I tore through it in two days (THAT TWIST, THOUGH).
I became even more curious when I heard David Fincher was turning the book into a movie and Ben Affleck was set to star. Without revealing too much, there are shifts in character narrative that could cause the movie to get choppy/confusing, but Fincher has already proven to be a master of adaptations (he directed The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo). The new trailer includes Amy’s diary, Neil Patrick Harris as Amy’s sketchy ex-boyfriend (AH!), and a much guiltier Nick.
